Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to enhance security posture by supporting the program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance initiatives and enforcing security policies, standards, and methodologies
• Ability to oversee security operations for information systems, managing daily security aspects, evaluating security solutions for classified processing, and conducting vulnerability and risk assessments for accreditation
• Must be able to manage configuration and system integrity by administering configuration management (CM) for security software, hardware, and firmware, ensuring compliance with security controls, and assessing the impact of system changes.
• Can develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs).
• Conduct lifecycle management activities to ensure compliance with system security requirements.
• Ability to provide technical expertise in security policies and operations, supporting the implementation and maintenance of security measures, and collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen the security posture
• Must be able to drive continuous improvement by assessing existing security processes, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing proactive solutions to enhance system resilience.
• Proficient with customer security tools, corporate repositories, playbooks and guidelines.
• Operational understanding of server and IA technologies, internetworking protocols and services

QUALIFICATIONS:

Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) – Level Senior

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security or related discipline and twelve (12) years of relevant experience as an ISSO in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certificate: IAM Level II

OR

• Sixteen (16) years of experience as an ISSO in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certificate: IAM Level II

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
