Software Engineer – Level 3 (Java Software Engineer)

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Senior Java Software Engineer (Level 3). The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems). Additionally, the Software Engineer will review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java (Spring Framework 6 Java 17).
• Experience working with GitLab CI/CD orchestration and containerized environments.
• Experience with PostgresSQL, database design, and optimization.
• Knowledgeable in API development.
• Familiar with Python, Power BI Desktop & Report Server Administration.
• Familiar with Maria DB.
• Familiar with ElasticSearch.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty-four (24) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
