Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 3). The Software Engineer will analyze and develop requirements to support the characterization and ingestion of new and existing data types. The Software Engineer will collaborate with customer teams to understand needs and requirements; and recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of data enrichment/conversion methods.
• Experience with Java development.
• Strong knowledge of structured data types (XML, CSV, JSON).
• Analytic development experience using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Scala).
• Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., MapReduce, Spark).
• Knowledge of indexing and analytic development.
• Experience working with Cloud service providers and data stewards.
• Familiar with ElasticSearch aggregations.
• Familiar with PostGresSQL.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplinefrom an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty-four (24) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
