Cloud Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 3). The Cloud Software Engineer will devise strategies to extract meaning and value from structured and unstructured data; leverage statistical methods and/or machine learning to discover patterns and behaviors of entities; and use query and visualization tools to present question focused datasets. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with customer teams to analyze and develop requirements that support characterization and ingestion of new and existing data types.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of data/enrichment conversion methods.
• Experience with Java development.
• Familiar with data ontologies/schemas.
• Strong knowledge of structure data types (XML, CSV, JSON).
• Experienced with scripting languages (Python and Scala).
• Experience with visualization tools (e.g., DataXplorer).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplinefrom an accredited college or university, plus four (4) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Elastic Certified Engineer

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related disciplinefrom an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Elastic Certified Engineer

OR

• Eight (8) yearsof experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Elastic Certified Engineer

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
