Cloud System Administrator – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud System Administrator  (Level 2).  The Cloud System Administrator will ensure day-to-day operations stability, provide customer support, technical knowledge, and troubleshooting repair expertise. The Cloud System Administrator must possess a strong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment and is expected to provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support including participation in a rapid on-call rotation.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java.
• Experience with Linux OS.
• Experience administering cloud infrastructure and services (e.g., compute, storage, networking, IAM).
• Knowledge of containers and platform workloads (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Experience administering monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools, such as Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, etc. and responding to incidents.
• Experience performing backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Fifteen (15) years of experience in cloud system administration in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
