Cloud Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 3). The Software Engineer will analyze and develop requirements to support the characterization and ingestion of new and existing data types. The Software Engineer will collaborate with customer teams to understand needs and requirements; and recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects.  Manage software development lifecycle including design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java, Python
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Ansible
• Hands on experience with Git
• Experience with MongoDB or similar database technologies
• One of the following certifications (to be provided during interview):
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Elastic Certified Engineer

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Pig scripting

QUALIFICATIONS:

• IAT Level I certification (Security+ or higher)
• Cloud certification (to be verified during interview)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (4) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eight (8) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
