System Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 3). The System Engineer will derive and manage system requirements to ensure that delivery of the production system is compatible with defined system architecture(s). The System Engineer will contribute to the project’s technical documentation; assist developing system requirements, as well as allocating hardware/software components. ​​Overall, the System Engineer will provide technical direction for the development, engineering, integration and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experienced in engineering physical and virtual VDI and VPN infrastructures.
• Ability to architect scalable, agile cloud technologies.
• Strong proficiency with network topology to ensure reliable, high-performance, and secure system connectivity.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud resources and alternative cloud service provider frameworks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and twenty (20) years of systems engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty-five (25) years of experience as a systems engineer on projects of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
