Test Engineer – Level 2

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Test Engineer (Level 2). The Cloud Test Engineer will analyze system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop test plans and procedures. Additionally, the Test Engineer will conduct data collection and analysis, and report status and results.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Test Engineer on similar programs or contracts
• Experience using Linux CLI and the Linux suite of tools.
• Proficient using Bash/Python scripting for task automation.
• Experience with GitLab.
• Experience developing and executing test plans for HPC systems.
• Experience integrating and testing REST APIs.
• Experience creating complex database queries to analyze test data across various database platforms including SQL.
• Experience with Kibana and Grafana.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with test automation tools or willingness to learn
• Familiarity with software integration and writing automated tests
• Knowledge of web technologies and databases or willingness to learn
• Experience designing and executing automated testing systems
• Ability to replicate errors and analyze test data for system performance and efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in math, computer science, engineering, statistics, Engineering management or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus Five (5) years of experience as a test engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Nine (9) years of experience as a test engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
