Cloud System Administrator – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud System Administrator (Level 2).  The Cloud Administrator will ensure day-to-day operations stability, provide customer support, technical knowledge, and troubleshooting repair expertise. The Cloud Administrator must possess a strong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment and is expected to provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java
• Experience setting up and configuring AWS EC2 environments
• Understanding of AWS Well Architected Frameworks
• Solid understanding and working knowledge of core Linux environments
• Hands-on experience using Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with Kubernetes and Accumulo
• Knowledge of JIRA
• Manage RedHat/CentOS provisioning using kickstart
• 3+ years of experience in IT, specifically working with cloud-hybrid environments, systems administration, and virtualization technologies
• The following certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification is required: (choose one)
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • CDP Administrator – Private Cloud Base
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• IAT Level II Certification (e.g. Security+ CE or equivalent) is required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics  or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Four (4) years of experience in system administration in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
