System Administrator – Level 0

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Administrator (Level 0).  The System Administrator will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems. The candidate shall provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) support towards problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. Additionally, the candidate shall perform day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices as well as mobile devices. The candidate will configure and manage UNIX/Windows operating systems and install software, troubleshoot, and configure network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with UNIX and Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of networking and distributed computing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university.

OR

• Five (5) years of experience in system administration in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
