System Administrator – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Administrator (SA) Level 2. The SA2 shall handle help desk inquiries (Tier1) and escalated, complex issues (Tier 2). Additionally, the System Administrator will configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems, while implementing enhancements to improve system reliability and performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must have intermediate Linux environment experience.
• Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
• Experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2022.
• Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
• Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
• Experience with Bash scripting.
• Experience with DevOps, AWS

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• IAT Level 1 Certification or higher is required

OR

• Ten (10) years of experience as an SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• IAT Level 1 Certification or higher is required

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
