Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Level 2. The Software Engineer shall develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements. Must work individually and as part of a team. Additional duties include review and testing of software components for adherence to the design requirements and document such test results.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong understanding of enterprise services such as NiFi.
• Knowledge of Cloud Service provider offerings, specifically AWS and Azure.
• Strong knowledge of data flow processing and data transformation.
• Working knowledge with Python, Java, Groovy, and Bash scripting.
• Working knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes containerization, orchestration, and scaling.
• Strong skills in service integration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and fourteen (14) years of relevant experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
