System Engineer – Level 5

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer – Level 5. The System Engineer shall work with software development and systems engineering teams to develop cloud-based solutions in line with customer needs. The System Engineer will work with multi-disciplined technical teams to develop requirements, plan deployments, and manage customer needs. The candidate will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases; and interact with the Government regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong customer outreach and product marketing skills for interfacing with mission and capabilities partners.
• Experience with data sharing policies and authorizations, both internal to customer and external partnerships.
• Experience with data thread engineering.
• Experience with developing system architecture and design planning documentation.
• Knowledge of Cloud Service provider offerings, specifically AWS and Azure.
• Experience with capturing and documenting artifacts with Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of general cloud computing and big data analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Qualifying Engineering field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical, Engineering Management) or related discipline and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Nineteen (19) years of experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
