System Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 1/2). The System Engineer analyzes user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-leveI system architecture to develop system requirements specifications. The candidate shall guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches and conducts feasibility studies. Additionally the candidate will generate technical documentation; develop system architecture and system design documentation; and guide system development and implementation planning though assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test
plans.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Linux environment
• Knowledge of and experience with scripting languages and/or Java development to enable process automation
• Experience with Kubernetes clusters (installing, monitoring, optimizing)
• Working knowledge of Ethernet, PCM, VSAT, OSI Model and C2C structure
• Protocol analysis experience w/DVT or other protocol analyzer

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years of experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twelve (12) years of experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
