Cloud Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 3). The candidate will perform requirements analysis, software design, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution. Additionally, the Cloud Software Engineer will evaluate project needs, determine tasks, and review designs for technical accuracy.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Skilled with full-stack development (Java and JavaScript)
• Skilled with Java, Spring and JUnit
• Knowledgeable with JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue.js)
• Experience with REST APIs and JSON
• Experience with Elasticsearch/ELK and Redis
• Familiar with MongoDB
• Experience with Docker and Containerization
• Skilled with Kubernetes or Container orchestration tools
• Knowledgeable with AWS cloud services
• Experience with Git or GitLab
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, CI/CD, or Jenkins)
• Minimum 8 years in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

 DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus eighteen (18) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty-four (24) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• One or more of the following certifications are required:
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Elastic Certified Engineer

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
