Information Technology Senior Consultant – Level 5

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Information Technology Senior Consultant (Level 5).  The candidate will design, architect, configure, deploy, upgrade, and support various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools. Duties include diagnosing and troubleshooting storage systems and other related technologies. The candidate shall demonstrate initiative and commitment towards optimizing systems and processes plus overseeing the installation of new storage hardware and software according to standard operating procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Hands-on engineering experience w/NetApp and other storage technologies (SAN & NAS).
• Knowledge of protocols, such as: S3, CIFS, NFS, and iSCI.
• Experience w/Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, Rubrik, and CommVault.
• Strong understanding of high availability concepts with practical experience and implementation of key components in storage environments.
• Strong understanding of fundamental hardware concepts: disk memory, CPU, NIC, firmware.
• Experienced connecting storage arrays to Hypervisor Technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate, deploy, manage, and integrate new technologies (VMWare VCF, OpenStack).

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II

OR

• Twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
