System Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 3).  The System Engineer will analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration. Additionally, the candidate will configure and manage Linux operating systems alongside Windows 10/11 and Windows Server to include implementing system enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proficiency in scripting (BASH, Python, PowerShell).
• Familiar with NetApp storage management and network administration.
• Experience with VMWare.
• Configuration and automation skills using Puppet and Ansible.
• Experienced performing Linux server administration.
• Experienced performing Windows 10/11 & Windows Server administration.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• IAT Level II Certification

OR

• Twenty (25) years of experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• IAT Level II Certification

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
