Information Technology Senior Consultant – Level 5

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Information Technology Senior Consultant (Level 5). The candidate shall review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results; utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment. The candidate will provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and the use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development. Additionally, the candidate will provide Help Desk support; ticket handling/resolution, and utilizing Jira.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Experience scripting with Java.
• Strong background with Docker using Maven.
• Proficient with Git/GitLab and GitOps principles.
• Knowledge of CI/CD.
• Experience with Jira.
• Experience with Helm and Kubernetes.
• Flux and Kustomize experience desired.
• Kafka experience desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
