Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Level 2. The Software Engineer will work with a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the front end processing of data for a critical tool. The Software Engineer will also support the modernization of the front end processing services.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Java Application experience.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and ability to multitask and pivot to different tasks.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, Git.
• Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with JMX Messaging (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot is desired.
• NiFi experience is desired.
• Familiar with Python is a plus.
• Experience with Mongo is a plus.
• Familiar with Kotlin is desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or related discipline and fourteen (14) years of relevant experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
