Software Engineer – Level 1

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 1). The Software Engineer will work with the Common Services Team. The Software Engineer shall develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, real-time systems, and business management information systems). Additionally, the Software Engineer will review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

Telework availability up to 16 hours per week.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java
• Experience with Python
• Experience with PySpark
• Familiar with AWS services (Lambdas AWS glue jobs)
• In-scope poly within 7 years

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eleven (11) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
