System Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 3).  The System Engineer will configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems; install and load operating system software; and configure network components to improve reliability and performance. Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remain involved in the resolution process.  Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration. Additionally, the System Engineer will provide support to IT systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with RedHat Linux
• Experienced performing Linux server administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty (25) years of experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
