Information Technology Senior Consultant – Level 5

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Information Technology Senior Consultant (Level 5).  The candidate shall support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.  The candidate will diagnose and troubleshoot storage systems and other related technologies.  The consultant will configure and manage Linux, and possibly Windows operating systems, installs/loads operating system software and patches to maintain security compliance, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating system enhancements to improve reliability & performance. Additionally, the candidate will update documentation.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Senior level Linux Systems Administration Experience
• Experience with VMWARE
• Experience with vSphere
• Experience with Confluence
• Experience with automation software, e.g. Ansible
• Experience with VCF (VMWare Cloud Foundations)
• Knowledge of patching & updating Linux distributions regarding security findings
• Knowledge of renewing Linux server certificates

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certification: IAT II

OR

• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus Fifteen (15) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certification: IAT II

OR

• Twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certification: IAT II

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
