Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (SWE) – Level 3 who will design, develop, test, deploy, document, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. The candidate will also troubleshoot existing customer applications and develop new software capabilities.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Linux CLI and Linux Tools
• Experience writing Bash/PHP scripts
• Recent software development experience using Python and Java
• Experience using an integrated development environment, e.g. Atlassian plugin software developer kit (SDK)
• Experience with IaC principles and automation tools e.g. Ansible
• Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools, e.g. GitLab CI
• Experience with containerization technologies, e.g. Docker
• Experience with source code management, e.g. Git

 DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with sustaining mission applications deployed in a Linux environment
• Experience with interacting/training external customers

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline and five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and seven (7) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Nine (9) years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
