System Engineer – Level 4

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 4). This role supports a large software development program developing, operating, and maintaining mission critical enterprise capabilities. The candidate should have senior Linux systems administration expertise. The System Engineer will apply systems engineering principles throughout the systems life cycle phases: Concept, Development, Production, Utilization, Support, and Retirement. The System Engineer shall interact with the customer regarding technical considerations and for issues. Additionally, the System Engineer is responsible for technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work products and associated deliverables.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience as Linux system administrator.
• Experience with Ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with VMware.
• Mongo administration experience is desired.
• Ability to architect and deploy network solutions with Cisco products is desired.
• Storage (Purestorage) knowledge is desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience as a system engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Fourteen (14) years of systems engineering in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
