Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 3). The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems). The Software Engineer will recommend new technologies & processes for complex projects; serve as technical lead; ensure quality control on all developed and modified software; and delegate programming and testing tasks.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Serve as technical lead across multiple software development teams
• Recommend new technologies and processes to improve performance and scalability of software solutions
• Coordinate software development processes with customer and systems engineering teams
• Ensure quality control of all developed and modified software

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC), e.g. Terraform
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Experience with AWS cloud environments, including serverless architecture and cloud application deployment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twenty (20) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Twenty-four (24) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
