Systems Engineer – Level 5 (Texas)

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 5). The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining complex IT and SIGINT platforms by leveraging deep expertise in communications technologies, virtualization, and systems architecture.  The candidate will perform hands-on network and data processing system integration, including hardware and software configuration, rack-and-stack installation, cabling, testing, and troubleshooting across the full system deployment lifecycle. Additionally, the engineer will manage and execute comprehensive technical documentation throughout all lifecycle phases to support new system deployments and upgrades at forward sites, ensuring seamless operational sustainment and continuity.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Expertise with Linux and Windows environments
• Proficient with Visio and Adobe
• Solid understanding of Cisco networking (e.g. routers, switches, and security protocols)
• Familiar with cloud computing concepts
• Experienced with JIRA and Confluence
• Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fifteen (15) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Nineteen (19) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
