Cloud Software Engineer – Level 1

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 1). The Cloud Software Engineer will provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience working within Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience with NoSQL (open source) products (e.g. Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table)
• One (1) year of experience developing software with high level languages (e.g. Java, C, C++)
• Two (2) years of experience in software development including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus (0) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Desired Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

OR

• Two (2) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Desired Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
