System Engineer – Level 1.5

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced System Engineer (Level 1.5) to work on final dataflow solutions for the Operations team. The SE will participate in dataflow modernization efforts migrating current flows on hardware to the virtual cloud environment. This entails evaluating the dataflow, building out requirements, then working with Operations team members in rebuilding the dataflows.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience working in a Linux environment.
• Experienced with Apache NiFi functionality and building DataFlows.
• Experienced in performing Transfer & Decommission efforts of legacy to new systems.
• Experienced managing analytical needs and requirements.
• Experienced in creating Systems Architectural Diagrams depicting software and system functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience as a data scientist in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Fifteen (15) years of experience as a data scientist in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
