Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 2). The engineer will be a Full-Stack Developer to support a software product serving as the system source of record for large-scale data storage, visualization, and dissemination. Responsibilities include engineering user-centric visualization interfaces that translate intricate technical data into logical insights for tactical end-users. The candidate will ensure high software interoperability, meticulous technical documentation, and rigorous data validation.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with full stack development
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g. Mongo and SQL)
• Knowledge of React and Redux
• Experience with Git and SVN
• Background in Linux
• Demonstrated experience with AWS

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Familiar with Apache Flink
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience in an Agile work environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fourteen (14) years of experience as a data scientist in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a data scientist in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
