Cloud System Administrator – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud System Administrator (Level 2).  The Cloud Administrator will ensure day-to-day operations stability, provide customer support, technical knowledge, and troubleshooting repair expertise. The Cloud Administrator must possess a strong background in troubleshooting operational issues in a Linux environment and is expected to provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java.
• Familiarity working in Linux environments.
• Experience with Hadoop Distributed File Systems.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Accumulo.
• Knowledge of JIRA.
• Familiar with Salt/Ansible. Grafana, Openstack.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certification: IAT I (or higher – preferably Security+)
• Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • CDP Administrator – Private Cloud Base
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

OR

• Seven (7) years of experience in system administration in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Certification: IAT I (or higher – preferably Security+)
• Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • CDP Administrator – Private Cloud Base
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
