Cloud Software Engineer – Level 1

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 1). The Cloud Software Engineer will support the development and deployment of enterprise cloud-based solutions. The Cloud Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, integration, and maintenance of scalable cloud-native applications supporting large-scale compute and data analytics platforms. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated developer with strong attention to detail, who can work independently and collaboratively to meet evolving customer requirements.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience working within Linux-based operating systems.
• Familiar with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure.
• Experience with one or more programming languages, e.g., Java, Python, C++.
• Experience working within an Agile development team.
• Experience with containerization technologies (such as Docker) is desired.
• Experience with Kubernetes is desired.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices is desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Desired Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

OR

• Five (5) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Desired Certification in one of the following:
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
