Cloud Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 2). We are looking for a full-stack developer to join a mature Java-based software development team. Utilizing Agile methodologies to manage and track software lifecycle activities, this position provides a strong pathway to broaden your skills in Java. The candidate will gain hands-on experience with technologies like Quarkus and PrimeFaces, driving full-stack development with a strong emphasis on building intuitive User Interfaces.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with Java.
• Minimum of  three (3) years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Familiar with AWS Cloud technologies
• Familiar with Quarkus
• Familiar with PrimeFaces
• Familiar with GitLab CI/CD
• Experience working with Agile methods and tools
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good communication skills and self-starter

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• One of the following Certifications is required:
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Associate
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Elastic Certified Engineer

OR

• Five (5) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• One of the following Certifications is required:
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Associate
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
