Cloud Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 2). The Cloud Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse Big-Data Cloud systems, including all back-end processing, analyzing, and indexing. Additionally,  the Cloud Software Engineer shall provide expertise in Cloud Computing, Hadoop Eco-System and implementing Java applications, Distributed Computing, and Object Oriented Design.  ​​

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experienced with Angular.
• Experienced with Java Spring Boot.
• Experienced with Elasticsearch.
• Experienced with Python.
• Knowledge of Information Retrieval; assisting software development with designing developing, and testing Cloud Information Retrieval.
• Experience with implementing complex workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and six (6) years of software engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity –of which– two (2) years must be in programs utilizing Big-Data Cloud technologies and/or Distributed Computing. 

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of software engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity –of which– two (2) years must be in programs utilizing Big-Data Cloud technologies and/or Distributed Computing.

OR

• Twelve (12) years of experience as a software engineer on projects of similar scope, type, and complexity (includes Big-Data systems).

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
