Cloud Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 3). The Cloud Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement secure cloud-based solutions that support scalable, resilient and mission-critical environments. The Cloud Software Engineer shall be responsible for architecting cloud infrastructure, developing detailed technical plans, and defining specifications to support the deployment of modern cloud platforms and services.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Background in Python
• Experience with Apache Open-Source Hadoop
• Experience with Spring Framework
• Experience with Bash
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Familiar with Angular

 DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with UI/UX , Accessibility/508 compliance, and front-end development experience

CERTIFICATION : One of the following certifications is required:  

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Elastic Certified Engineer
  •  Cloud certification will be verified during the interview or offer process

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus four (4) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eight (8) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
