Cloud Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud Software Engineer (Level 3). The Cloud Software Engineer will design, develop, and implement secure cloud-based solutions that support scalable, resilient in an agile environment. The Cloud Software Engineer shall be responsible for architecting cloud infrastructure, developing detailed technical plans, and defining specifications to support the deployment of modern cloud platforms and services.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong experience with Java Programming
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, (e.g. Ansible and Puppet)
• Knowledge of scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby, Perl)
• Experience with Spring Framework
• Experience with Bash
• Knowledge of JavaScript
• Familiar with Angular

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of Apache Accumulo

CERTIFICATION : One of the following certifications is required:  

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Associate
• AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Cloud certification will be verified during the interview or offer process

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus four (4) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus six (6) years of experience as a cloud software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eight (8) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
