Cloud System Administrator – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud System Administrator (Level 2) to perform in a cloud environment platform built with Java on free and open-source software products to enable the execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. The Cloud System Administrator shall ensure day-to-day operations, stability, troubleshoot, and provide customer support as needed. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and proactive and be able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Must have strong Java skills
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with Hadoop & Hadoop Distributed File System
• Experience with Accumulo
• Experience with Ansible is desired
• Experience with Openstack and AWS is desired
• Experience with Grafana is desired
• 7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS command line
• 7 years of experience Linux/Unix networking (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)
• 7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS kickstart/provisioning (Setting it up)
• 2+ years of experience RedHat DNS Administration (DNS, hosts files, DHCP

CERTIFICATIONS: Possession of a Cloud & 8570 certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process

• Certificate in one of the following:
  • CDP Administrator – Private Cloud Base
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator Developer (CKAD)

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

  OR

  • Five (5) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
