Cloud System Administrator – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Cloud System Administrator (Level 2) to perform in a cloud environment platform, built with Java on Free and OpenSource software. The candidate will work with data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. The candidate will be involved with day-to-day operations, providing customer support, as well as technical and troubleshooting repair expertise. Furthermore, the candidate will provide Tier 1 through Tier 3 support and after-hours support as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Linux Systems: RedHat, CentOS, or similar
• Knowledge of scripting, e.g. Bash and/or Python
• Hands on experience with Puppet or similar tools
• Experience with Hadoop and Accumulo or large distributed systems

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Certificate in one of the following:
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator Developer (CKAD)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Seven (7) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
