Information Technology Senior Consultant – Level 5

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Information Technology Senior Consultant (Level 5).  The candidate shall provide daily oversight and guidance in managing operational matters and mentoring entry level engineers in all aspects of networking. The candidate will be responsible for the architectural design, deployment and documentation of new network requirements and changes to current network configurations. Additionally, the position requires an experienced candidate to oversee major network architecture upgrades to include white-paper design, deployment, and configuration of devices; and provide fault analysis, isolation and correction, configuration, and upgrades of network devices to include Cisco Routers, Firewalls, and Switches.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Ability to configure Cisco catalyst switches (Spanning Tree, Port Security, VTP, Ether channels, VLANS).
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco ARA routers (HSRP, OSPF, BGP, route-map) and Cisco ASA firewalls.
• Knowledge of protocols, such as: S3, CIFS, NFS, and iSCI.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting DHCP, BIND, and DNS servers.
• Experienced in the use of Linux network troubleshooting tools to solve complex network issues.
• Ability to develop BASH and Python scripts.
• Experience with Protocol Analyzers to troubleshoot network issues.
• Experience with Visio.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II

OR

• Twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
