Information Technology Senior Consultant – Level 5

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Information Technology Senior Consultant (Level 5). The candidate shall have a strong background in Cisco Network Security. The candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems, e.g., process analytics, manipulate large data sets, and work with real-time and business management systems. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to system design by means of system analysis that considers hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Expertise in Cisco network security to manage stateful firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and enterprise threat defense platforms
• Proficient with network monitoring and management tools
• Skilled with upgrading Cisco networks including routers and switches
• Responsible for updating and configuring antivirus software to ensure network security.
• Knowledgeable in designing and planning the network for Cisco switches
• Ability to configure Remote Authentication Dial-In Service (RADIUS) to device administration on switches

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II

OR

• Twenty (20) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• CompTIA Security+ or similar certification for IAT Level II

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
