Software Engineer – Level 0

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for a Software Engineer (Level 0). The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems). Additionally, the Software Engineer will review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Troubleshoots and resolves software problem reports, identifying root causes and implementing efficient bug fixes.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Develop custom software solutions and modify existing codebases to support product growth
• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, can be substituted for four (4) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Four (4) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
