Software Engineer – Level 1

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Level 1. The Software Engineer will implement, test, and operate using advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture to enhance software systems. The candidate shall debug, design, and code new software and/or modify existing software. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to engineering designs, technical documentation, and exchange knowledge on secure coding practices.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Demonstrated work experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products.
• Experience developing software products for Solaris or Linux environments.
• Experience with Java  C, or C++.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Accumulo.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eleven (11) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
