Software Engineer – Level 1

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 1). The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems). Additionally, the Software Engineer will review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

Telework availability up to 16 hours per week.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Java and Angular framework
• Build experience with Gitlab and Docker
• Hands on build experience with Kubernetes or Marathon
• Experience using AUTUMNATTIC to diagnose user facing problems
• Develop front-end and back-end capabilities
• Perform code reviews
• In-scope poly within 7 years

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with language analyzers in Elasticsearch
• Experience with computer assisted translation tools (e.g. LILT)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus seven (7) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eleven (11) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
