Software Engineer – Level 0, 1, 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 1). The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems). Additionally, the Software Engineer will review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. The Software Engineer must be a self-starter, ready to provide customer support.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Linux environment
• Experience with Python (at least 5 years experience)
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker (at least 5 years experience)
• Thorough knowledge of Helm (at least 5 years experience)

QUALIFICATIONS:

For a SWE Level 0:

• • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and five (5) years experience in the skills noted.
  • Seven (7) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity with at least five (5) years experience in the skills noted.

For a SWE Level 1:

• • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years experience with at least five (5) of those years having experience in the specific skills noted.
    • Eleven (11) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity with at least five (5) years experience in the skills noted.

For a SWE Level 2:

• • • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and fourteen (14) years experience with at least five (5) of those years having experience in the specific skills noted.
    • Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity with at least five (5) years experience in the skills noted.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
