Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for a Software Engineer – Level 2 to lead the creation and development of a dashboard prototype while operating across the full software lifecycle. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic technical environment that spans new feature development, integration with legacy capabilities, and continuous support for existing systems. The engineer will have hands-on experience in all phases of the software engineering process, including system analysis, architectural design, core development, rigorous testing, and end-to-end integration.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong Linux and VMs
• Demonstrated skills with ReactJS
• Experience with NodeJS
• Knowledgeable with Typescript
• Experience with Elasticsearch
• Experience with MongoDB

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Hands-on experience with containerization (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with DevOps
• Experience with GitLab
• Knowledgeable with deployment

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and Fourteen (14) years of experience as a system engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. 

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
