Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Level 2. The Software Engineer will work with a team of dynamic and innovative engineers to develop new capabilities supporting the virtual malware containment enclave. The Software Engineer will also support the modernization of malware enrichment services.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with Python to generate scripts to automate VM setup.
• Familiar working in a virtual environment including creating virtual machines, images, and virtual environment networking.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, Git.
• Experience with IntelliJ or Eclipse IDE.
• Experience with Kubernetes is desired.
• Experience with JMX Messaging (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of Spring or Spring Boot is desired.
• Java Application experience (no front end necessary), REST is desired.
• Familiar with Kotlin is desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or related discipline and fourteen (14) years of relevant experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
