Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 1 or 2). The Software Engineer will design, develop test, and maintain enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and modern software engineering best practices. The Software Engineer will also design, optimize, and troubleshoot relational databases. Additionally, the candidate must collaborate with cross-functional and engineering teams to support the complete software development lifecycle.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience with JAVA and Linux environments
• Experience with MariaDB.
• Experience with Angular
• Experience tuning SQL performance and supporting high-volume enterprise applications
• Experience with Spring Boot
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Jira and Confluence

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and Fourteen (14) years of software engineering experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer on projects of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
