Software Engineer – Level 2

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 2). The Software Engineer shall be responsible for developing and maintaining system management infrastructure software and services for HPC systems in a Linux environment.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux tools
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python) to automate tasks and processes
• Recent software development experience using Python
• Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• Experience with Git Source Control System
• Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
• Experience deploying containerized services under Docker is desired
• Familiar with observability and analytics platform solutions is desired
• Experience with automation frameworks including Ansible for orchestrating deployment is desired
• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence) is desired

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus three (3) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Seven (7) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
