Software Engineer – Level 2

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced  Software Engineer – Level 2 to support a large-scale Linux system. The Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, deploys, documents, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems based upon documented requirements. These systems might include, but are not limited to, processing­ intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Zabbix development experience
• Experience with Linux environments
• Scripting and knowledge of Python, Java, CSC

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline and fourteen (14) years of experience as a software engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. 

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
