Software Engineer – Level 2 (Some Telework)

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer (Level 2). The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems). The Software Engineer will review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results. Additionally, the candidate will work with teams to develop and integrate Kubernetes hosted services.

 REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong understanding of enterprise services such as NiFi.
• Knowledge of Cloud Service provider offerings, specifically AWS and Azure.
• Experience with Python, Java, and BASH scripting.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes containerization, orchestration, and scaling.
• Strong skills in service integration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus fourteen (14) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

OR

• Eighteen (18) years of experience as a software engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
