Software Engineer – Level 3

DESCRIPTION:

Ascendant Innovations Corp is looking for an experienced Front-End Software Engineer (Level 3). The Software Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including system architects, and project managers, to ensure software meets user requirements and is delivered on schedule. The Software Engineer – Level 3 shall develop, integrate, test, and troubleshoot future software capabilities, and sustain existing products. The candidate shall have strong leadership, analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. ​​

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Proven leadership or mentoring of a development team
• Strong proficiency with front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue)
• Experience with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Full-stack experience, including backend development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, RESTful/GraphQL API design)
• Familiarity with version control (Git) CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, and Azure is a plus)
• Experience with tiered architectural systems and in a Linux/Ubuntu environment is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university and twelve (12) years of relevant experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. 

OR

• Sixteen (16) years of relevant experience as a software engineer on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

Clearance Requirements:
Must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret/SCI w/polygraph.
